April Alayon

Part designer, part coder. One hundred percent passionate and ready to help individuals, small businesses, and artists improve their online presence and branding. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Publishing at Simon Fraser University, April worked freelance graphic design projects as a side hustle. She was the Production and Design editor at SFU student-run newspaper, The Peak, during her university years and completed a design internship at an independent online magazine, The Tyee.

Fast forward to today. April fell in love with web design and development after completing the Technical Web Designer program at BCIT. April now spends her days with her fingers in numerous areas of web design and front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery PHP, Wordpress). She’s worked for organizations and companies such as Megaphone Magazine, Aboriginal Business Match, Yulu PR, and Apple. When she's not solving problems in pixels, she spends her time organizing community events, painting, playing ukulele, listening to live music, and playing squash.
